Yeduguri Sandinti Rajasekhara Reddy (Teluguయేడుగురి ఎస్ రాజశేఖర రెడ్డి) (8 July 1949 – 2 September 2009), popularly known as YSR, was a two-time Chief Minister of the state ofAndhra Pradesh. He is seen as the most popular Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh due to various welfare schemes and development programs he ran for the people of his state.[1] In the words of Yahoo after his death, YSR was a mass leader who ruled the hearts of people in Andhra Pradesh.[2]. The BBC has called him a champion of social welfare schemes.[3]


He was elected to the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th Lok Sabha from the Kadapa constituency for four terms and to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly for five terms from the Pulivendula constituency. At the time of his death, he held the record of not losing any election throughout his political career. [4] In 2003 he undertook a three-month-long paadayaatra, or walking tour of 1475 km in hot summer, across several districts in Andhra Pradesh to get into power.[5] He led his party to victory in the next general and assembly elections held in 2004 and also the next election in 2009. He is the only chief minister of AP to have come back to power after being in office for a full term.
On 2 September 2009, a helicopter carrying Reddy went missing in the Nallamala forest area in a mysterious way . On the morning of 3 September 2009, media agencies reported that the helicopter wreckage had been found on top of Rudrakonda Hill, 40 nautical miles (74 km) fromKurnool. This was later confirmed by the Prime Minister's office and all five people aboard were pronounced dead at the scene. Some section of the people believes that there is a conspiracy behind YSR’s death

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (Teluguనందమూరి తారక రామా రావు) (born NimmakuruKrishna DistrictAndhra Pradesh; 28 May 1923–18 January 1996), also known as NTR and fondly referred to as Anna garu, was an actor, directorproducer, and a politician of Andhra Pradesh. He is the founder of Telugu Desam Party in 1982 and served as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for three terms between 1983 and 1994. He was awarded the Padma Shri by theGovernment of India in 1968, recognizing his contribution to Telugu cinema. After his career in movies, Rao became a political activist and a political party leader. He is known as an advocate of Andhra Pradesh's distinct cultural identity, distinguishing it from Madras State with which it was often associated.Besides Telugu, he has also acted in a few Tamil and Kannada films
N. T. Rama Rao appeared in over 320 films, although only around 255 films are often accounted for, and he became a legend in Telugu cinema.[2] He often portrayed a Hindu mythological god or hero but also made an ideal villain.,[2] He portrayed Lord Krishna in Maya BazaarSri Krishnarjuna YudhamDaana Veera Soora KarnaLord Rama (Lava Kusa), Bheeshma(Bheeshma), Ravana (Bhookailasa), and Arjuna (Nartanasala). Later he became a screenwriter. Rao received no formal academic training in movie script writing yet he authored several screen plays for his own movies as well as for other producer's movies.

He started his career playing a police inspector in the movie Mana Desam (1949). The role was offered by the director L V Prasad. Next he appeared in the film Palletoori Pilla, directed by B. A. Subba Rao. It marked the first occasion that Rama Rao and Akkineni Nageswara Rao acted together for the first time.[3] The title role was played byAnjali Devi and the story was loosely based on the English play, Pizaro by Richard Sherton. The film was a commercial hit and ran for more than 100 days in 6 centres. He actively campaigned for the construction of a large number of movie theaters in rural locations and was influential in designing and implementing a financial system that funded the production and distribution of movies



3.D. Ramanaidu


Dr. Daggubati Ramanaidu (Teluguదగ్గుబాటి రామానాయుడు) (born 6 June 1936) is an Indianmovie producer and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner for the year 2009. The Guinness Book of Records lists him as the most prolific producer with 130 films.[1] Apart from producing Telugumovies, he has also produced movies in languages such as HindiTamilKannada and Bengali.
He was born on 6 June 1936 to Daggubati Venkateswarlu and Lakshmi Devamma in Karamchedu in the present-day Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh.[2] In 1963, he produced his first Telugu film Anuragam, followed by a very successful Ramudu Bheemudu starring N. T. Rama Rao in 1964.[1] He is a member of the Telugu Desam Party and represented Baptala constituency in Guntur District in the 13th Lok Sabha from 1999-2004. He lost in the elections to the same seat for the 14th Lok Sabha in 2004
He had worked with a number of stalwarts of Indian film industry such as N. T. Rama RaoA. Ramanaidu has also set up studios, recording, preview and dubbing theatres and laboratories in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam.
His film Surigadu was selected for the Indian Panorama in 1993. Asukh, a Bengali film, won the National Award for the Best Film in 1999. Apart from this, his films have been honoured with several awards by the Andhra Pradesh government.He has also produced a film titled 'Hamari Beti' in Hindi which focuses on how handicapped people can lead a normal life and achieve their goals. The protagonist in the film is a girl who is severely handicapped in real life. This film has been screened in International Film Festivals like Chicago and Venice.

4.N. Chandrababu Naidu
Nara Chandrababu Naidu (Telugu: నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు) (born April 20, 1950) was thechief minister of Andhra Pradesh from 1995 to 2004.[1] He has served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for two consecutive terms, and is the longest serving chief minister in the history of Andhra Pradesh. He is also the founder of Heritage Foods. As of February 2011, he is leader of the opposition in the Andhra Pradesh state assembly, and the president of Telugu Desam Party
Naidu was born in the Naravaripally village of Chittoor district on April 20, 1950. His father N.K. Naidu was an agriculturist and his mother Ammanamma was a housewife. Naidu went to Chandragiri Government High School and attended college at the Sri Venkateswara Arts College, Tirupati in which he did his Masters in Economics. While at college he was active in student issues and acted as the President of the students wing. . He was working towards a Ph.D. degree at the same university when he entered politics
He was elected as an MLA representing the Chandragiri constituency in 1978 and was the youngest Minister in the Cabinet in Congress. Naidu took over the post of Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from his father-in-law N. T. Rama Rao on September 1, 1995. This move was initially supported by D.Venkateshwara Rao, the elder son-in-law of Rama Rao, but after a few days he criticized it as 'back-stabbing'. On October 11, 1999, he was sworn in as the Chief Minister for a second term.

Controversies

There is some controversy surrounding his defeat in 1995 of the then chief minister and his father-in-law, N.T. Rama Rao.[6]During his tenure as chief minister there were allegations of favoritism shown to Reliance Industries in exchange for kick backs.[7]














































































































Personal life

Naidu is married to Bhuvaneswari and has a son Lokesh. His father-in-law, the late Mr. N.T. Rama Rao, was one of the most famous film actors of Telugu cinema, who later founded the Telugu Desam Party and was also the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.[8]
